Job # 1002: Controller/Accountant

Company Overview:

MWOE Solar, Inc., a technology spin-off from the University of Toledo, engages in the 
development, manufacture, and marketing of photovoltaic modules that convert
sunlight into electricity. The company develops thin-film silicon based photovoltaic
products and manufacturing equipment for high-throughput production of flexible
and lightweight photovoltaic modules at low cost. The company was founded in 2006 
and is headquartered in Toledo, Ohio. 

Job Description:

This position will be responsible for all the accounting, internal control, cash management,

financial reporting and audit interface functions.

Job Responsibilities:

* Improve the accounting and purchasing systems and policies to meet the need of a fast

growing company

* Research, identify and implement the appropriate accounting and management software

for the manufacturing environment.

* Internal and external financial report preparation
* Budget development and implementation

* Cost control reporting and implementation
* Accounting policies & procedures implementation

* Payroll and payroll tax functions
* Sales and costs reporting and analysis
* Inventory accounting and control
* Year-end accounting adjustments
* Monthly & year-end accruals

* Serve as the interface person for financial audit

* Internal control implementation

* Sales tax and other company tax issues

* Grants accounting, prepare financial report and invoices for government grants

Job Requirement:

* Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or a related field

* At least 5 years accounting/controller experience in a manufacturing environment.

* Effective written and verbal communication skills

* Analytical / problem-solving skills

* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

* Proficiency in accounting system software packages;

* Working knowledge of tax

* Interpersonal skills

* Organizational and time management skills
